Erin Ruby, CID, IIDA/ Founder of Erin Ruby Design, LLC
Erin Ruby is an American designer of interiors and products, known for her holistic approach to design. She is based in New York City where she founded her practice in 2014. Her philosophy is rooted in designing for the human experience; always considering how we interact and respond to the objects in our everyday lives. Her innate understanding of how spaces work and how people interact within them informs her furniture and textile designs.
Having worked at renowned architecture firms in the commercial interiors sector for nearly two decades, Erin’s expertise extends from interior architecture to product development. Clients and collaborators include Interface Americas, IMG Worldwide, Orrick, Dow Jones, The Johnson Company, Tuohy, Halcon, HBF Textiles, MCONTRAST, Decca, Gunlocke and Johanson.
Erin graduated from Virginia Tech in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and has worked as lead designer for architecture firms TVS Design in Atlanta, Cox Kliewer in Virginia Beach, TPG Architecture, and STUDIOS Architecture in New York. Her work has garnered numerous design awards and has been featured in international publications including Interior Design, Metropolis, Architectural Record, Contract, Interiors & Sources, Azure, Architizer and The Wall Street Journal.
